Way back in 1956 Progress started out in the power generation sector unaware that the brand would become as famous and as well known as it is today, some 60 years later. Now branded Progress Generator Services it continues to be one of the leading lights and contenders in the power generation industry, offering a wealth of expertise in generator related applications. From humble beginnings starting out as a small family run operation in Yorkshire, it has evolved to become part of a global business and part of the Yorpower Group. In 2014 the service side of the company was acquired by PPS Power and the generator sector continues to flourish under YorPower' guidance and expertise.

Originally recognised as a leading FG Wilson generator dealer, Progress Generator Services now has the capability to offer the biggest names in generator manufacturing including, YorPower (its core range), Cummins, Volvo and CAT gensets. We can still provide FG Wilson generators and spares for customers who require them. We proudly boast a wide and varied portfolio of customers many of whom we have developed long lasting relationships with in many sectors including STOR, hospital schemes, data centres, mini power plant schemes, large complex multi synchronised generator applications both at LV and HV and more.
