Yorkshire Finance Director of the Year Awards 2007

The winners of the Yorkshire Finance Director of the Year Awards 2007 were announced at a dinner at Rudding Park on 26th September 2007.

The awards, which seek to recognise the key contribution and performance of the region’s top FD’s in the rapidly changing world of business, are now an established event on the Yorkshire calendar and known as the leading competition of its kind in the region. The awards are sponsored by Barclays Bank, Ernst & Young, financial recruitment specialist Sewell Moorhouse and European lawyers Hammonds.

Following two processes of interviews and a short listing of nominees on the evening, our very own FD, Mrs. Carole Bright was named Best Financial Director of a SME.

The awards, which are in their sixth year, were presented by Monty Halls, an ex-Royal Marine and marine biologist and TV presenter, who also entertained the guests with his tales of exploration in some of the most demanding environments on land and sea.

Monty Hall said, “I was really impressed with the high calibre of the candidates, it must have been tough for the judges to choose between the finalists. What really hit home to me was how Yorkshire’s FD’s are instrumental in the success stories of their respective businesses.”

After working with the company for 9 years and being part of the Management Buy Out team 14 months ago, Carole was delighted to win the award where she was presented with a beautiful solid, cut glass trophy.
