SOFTWARE UPGRADES ON POWERWIZARD

The manufacturer FG Wilson has recently annouced that the PowerWizard control series will now be enhanced with a number of software upgrades. 

These enhancements will be standard on new product and will be available to upgrade existing products in the field.  The upgrades include:

• PROGRAMMABLE CYCLE TIMER (only available on the PowerWizard 2.0)
  This allows seven independent timers to be programmed to activate specific times.

• FUEL PRIMING
  This allows the user to initiate fuel priming from the display on models in the P27P1 - P88E1 product range, powered by the Perkins 1103/1104 series engines.

• CONFIGURABLE ANALOG INPUTS (only available on the PowerWizard 2.0)
  This upgrade provides more options in the standard flash file for the third sender. A custom flash file will not be needed as is currently required with the existing software.

• GHOST VOLTAGE/CURRENT SUPPRESSION
  Values below a certain threshold are now suppressed so that the controllers no longer display ghost voltages or currents.

• IMPROVED POWERWIZARD START TIME
  The total time from when the remote start signal is received at the PowerWizard panel to the time the starter motor relay is energized is to be reduced by an average of 300 milliseconds.

The newly developed PowerWizard 1.0 and PowerWizard 2.0 digital control systems provide a cost effective way of monitoring and communicating with the generating set.
