Generator Hire

Progress Group's generator hire division operates from four strategically placed nationwide hire facilities and boasts a fleet of diesel generating sets ranging from 14 kVA - 900 kVA. Manufactured by FG Wilson, these Perkins powered generators are suitable for running continuously or for standby applications in preparation for an emergency power failure.

Generating sets on our fleet are either housed in sound attenuated enclosures or, for further noise reduction, in super sound attenuated enclosures; both enclosures are designed to reduce sound levels to comply with the latest European Community Noise Directive 2000/14/EC.

With over 400 generators of varying specifications, we are happy to hire out machines from a single generator to more complex multi-set synchronization: site visits and consultations can be arranged.

Regularly replaced, our modern hire fleet of diesel generating sets are designed and manufactured to ISO accredited standards and in accordance with the latest technology and legislation always ensuring quality, safety and reliability.

In-house Hiab Transport

The size of our rental fleet coupled with our own self-unloading hiab vehicles ensures that we can swiftly deliver a generator to site using only our own resources.

24 hour EMERGENCY CALL-OUT SERVICE

We offer a national, 24 hour, 365 day emergency call-out service to all our customers, allowing us to quickly respond to your emergency needs.

On-site Servicing

On-site servicing and maintenance are provided as standard and to complement the hire fleet we can supply fuel management, ancillary equipment and Temporary Electrical Installations.

Fuel Management

Progress Group offers a comprehensive fuel management service ensuring that your generator never runs out of fuel whilst on hire. Pre-scheduled fuelling intervals are set up allowing us to take complete care of all your fuel requirements.

Technical Site Survey

Upon request, we are happy to carry out a full technical site survey to enable us to assess your individual requirements and provide temporary or permanent power solutions. Alternatively, clients can visit one of our hire centers to witness the quality and range of generators available within our hire fleet.
