TEMPORARY ELECTRICS
Temporary Construction Supplies.
Progress Group's team of fully skilled electrical and mechanical engineers is dedicated to offering solutions to the wide variety of problems encountered within the construction industry. We can provide total project management packages for temporary electrical supplies, in accordance with statutory safety regulations, ensuring least disruption to client productivity and all achieved in-house.
Design Requirements
At pre-tender stage, we are able to offer all clients’ advice on power requirements throughout the contract, and design a temporary electrical system to suit all sizes of projects. We will also liaise with statutory authorities and local electricity companies to ensure that the supply is connected and disconnected safely, and on time.
Power Distribution
From our large stock of Mains Distribution Units, transformers and associated switchgear, we can design, supply and install 415 volt, 240 volt and 110 volt power distribution to site accommodation, tower cranes and hoists. All our stock is maintained in-house and tested prior to and after installation. We are able to modify standard equipment to best suit site specific requirements.
Lighting
Safety lighting can be designed, supplied and installed utilising enclosed polycarbonate fluorescent light fittings including emergency back-up versions, discharge floodlighting and security lighting.
Evacuation and Security Alarms
In liaison with our client's safety officer we can facilitate the design, supply and installation of suitable temporary evacuation and/or security alarm systems.
Heating
We can design, supply and install effective clean and dry heating systems to accommodation and site.
Testing
All equipment is designed, supplied and installed to BS7671 (16th Edition Wiring Regulations) incorporating the production of Test Certificates and PAT (Portable Appliance Testing).
Maintenance
We can maintain installed systems either on a visit basis or a full time capacity on site depending on the size of the project.
Temporary Plumbing Services
We also offer a temporary plumbing service to complement our services to the construction industry.
Site Surveys
We will carry out site surveys, under no obligation, to ensure that the best value for money site specific system is installed at the onset of the contract.
